Your electrical drawing as a table LK On can read

Free tool · Wiring table

The PLC program does not know which fuse feeds a sensor, which wire goes to which terminal, or which part number sits behind a valve. The drawing does. Write the drawing down as one file, the wiring table, and LineKeeper On shows it next to every signal and compares it with the program.

Wiring tables: new in LK On 1.44.0. Early: tried on one real drawing and its program so far. Part numbers in LK Up: in progress, release soon.

How it works

  1. Copy the prompt below.
  2. Give it to the AI you already use (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, your company's own) together with the drawing's PDF. Add the PLC program export (.L5X) if you have it: the AI then ties each I/O card to its place in the program by itself. Without it, the AI asks you which slot each card is in.
  3. Save the answer as a file ending in .lkwiring.json.
  4. In LK On open Files and add the file. Before anything is applied, the device shows how many points agree with the program and what differs. A file with errors is shown and never applied; paste the device's message back to your AI and ask it to fix those rows.

You make the table, and you check it

  • You make this table on your side. LineKeeper does not receive your drawing or the file and cannot check them.
  • An AI can misread a drawing: a wrong designator, a wrong fuse, a wrong wire number. LineKeeper takes no responsibility for the accuracy of a table made this way. Compare the rows with the drawing before you rely on them.
  • LK On marks every row of such a file "not checked by a person", and a person who knows the machine can press Not so on a wrong row.
  • The table never replaces the drawing. Safety circuits (emergency stops, guards, safety relays) are listed by sheet only: read them on the drawing.
  • Your drawing goes to the AI service you choose, under that service's terms. Nothing is sent to LineKeeper: this page only shows text.

What is in the table

One JSON file per machine, format lkwiring/1. Inside, eleven small tables. Every row says which sheet it was read from.

TableWhat it holdsA row looks like
documentsThe drawings the file was made from: title, kind, number of sheetsElectrical schematic, 3 sheets
modulesThe controller, its I/O cards, drives, the HMI, and where each card sits in the programIN1: inputs, 16 channels, slot 1
pointsOne row per channel, used or spare: device, wire, terminals on the wayIN1 channel 3: B1, wire 103, “bottle present”
devicesEvery designator with its type and ratingF1: fuse, 2 A, sheet 1

What LK On does with it

  • Next to a signal, a finding or a box on the Machine page: the designator, the wire, the terminals, the fuse and the sheet.
  • A report of differences: points that agree, points the program uses that the drawing shows as spare, devices only the drawing knows.
  • When several inputs on one supply go off together and the controller still answers, the finding names the fuse or breaker they share and its sheet. It is the drawing's word, not a measurement.
  • Heaters, fuses and other devices the PLC cannot see appear on the machine graph for the mechanic and the administrator.
  • Part numbers of the drawing go to LineKeeper Up as proposed parts of the machine (in progress, release soon).
The wiring table is part of LK On. It sits beside the program on the Machine page and the machine graph. Everything about LineKeeper On →

Questions

FAQ
Do I need the PLC program export?

No, but with it the AI can tie each card to its slot itself. Without it you answer one question about slots.

Which AI works?

Any that reads a PDF. Results differ between services and drawings; that is why the device shows the differences before applying and why you check the rows.

The device refused the file.

It says which row and why. Paste the message to your AI.

Which PLCs?

The comparison with the program works for Rockwell Logix programs (.L5X) today.

Scanned drawings?

An AI can read a scan, with more mistakes. Check more rows.

Does LineKeeper see my drawing?

No. The device sends nothing out, and this page uploads nothing.
